Thought I'd show off a little more on the bike, let you guys know what's been going on ....
A while back, I had pulled the front and rear wheels apart for painting. While I was putting the rear wheel back together, I didn't notice at the time that the axles were stepped differently - one was stepped a bit longer than the other. Well, as luck would have it, I was putting the rim back together, put in the wrong axle, and SNAP! - shattered the rim to the tune of about $75 in parts (and some ceative and colorful language!) The rear rim of my Kragen Zooma goped was the same type, so that rim got pulled off for the Re-Cycle, and the new rim will go on the Zooma once I get it.
Otherwise, here she is, all complete, painted flat black with a single red rim (for now):
Did a little more work on the frame, mounted up a pair of receiver tubes for ... a sidecar! Yes, The Re-Cycle will soon have a sidecar mounted alongside, also made from tire irons and a star wrench for the baseplate. A Harbor Freight wheel will go on the outside (may have to replace the bearings for high-speed ones, although I don't plan on going over 10-15mph).
Fabbed up a new upper engine mount. Yup, that's a pair of /4" wrenches, with the head of a 9/16" wrench between them. The box ends of the 1/4" wrenches make perfect mounting brackets for 6mm bolts to slide through.
Tank brackets are either end of another 1/4" wrench I broke a while back. Why is the killswitch mounted under the seat? Because the seatpost is the only "normal-sized" pipe on the entire bike!
