i was wondering what all you guys prefer for headphones. ill start, i like skull candy in ear, KOSS, and sony, but i have a thing for ending with them blowing up and not working anymore, ive had a blue pair of skull candy over the ear headphones, there signature uprock headphones, and i must say i like them, i compared them to my friends beats by dre today and the skullcandy out did them, what are your headphone prefrences?

I dont know what others might say about this, but for me, the apple standard headphones work fine for my purposes. But I do agree skull candy is reallt good for the money. Beats (any kind) are a rip off.

i agree fully that the skull candy is the way to go but if your talking about sound quality and not price then beats are better IMO. Much rather buy a clone then beats!!!! lol (got my beats for christmas)

I only like in or over ear, any in ears seem to give me problems but theese skull candy were 22.18 and everyone at school says they out perform the beats and people that own beats say they wish they had gotten them

Skull candy sucks, beats are a ripoff. Stay away from the mainstream "hip" crap and get a nice pair of sony of bose headphones, amazon has good deals if you look.

I agree with R97 here
Actual audio brands are best. Sony, koss, sennheiser, bose etc. Skullcandies are ok, they have bass and not a lot else. I don't like skull candy on or over ears, they are generally cheap and tacky IMO.
Are we talking headphones or earphones? I have some 'jays' earphones. They are nothing flash, but have anti tangle wires which generally work. They cost me £20 and are pretty good quality.

What sort of price are we talking too? Beats look cool and are comfy, I really like the solo's, but they are very overpriced.

I was considering getting some Sony XB (extra bass) headphones. What style do you listen to?

Personally I like these.

:iagree:

Skull candy you are just buying the brand name and the pretty pictures on the side.... Dre beats are the same deal except with a little better sound and build quality. Both are overpriced and nothing special.

I own a pair of Sony XB-500 over ear headphones and I love them. I have used them quite frequently on my computer, I-pod, and listening to a nice CD. So far I have used them on 8 airplane rides (usually about 6 hours each plus all day in an airport), and countless road trips (Including two 9 hour car rides to Canada and back quite recently) in the past year.

So far the headphones have given no signs of wear and sound as good as new. The sound quality is also great, even at its loudest setting, or on an airplane.

Finally, if you think the beats are comfortable get a pair of these on, it legitimately feels like two very plush pillows sitting on your head. My only complaint would be that they are rather large, but it hasn't seemed to cause me any big issues yet.

I was going to get some Sony XB-300's when I have some 'spare' cash! They are approx $35 iirc.
On a side note, my mate bought some Sony over ears from a music shop in the Uk for £25. personally, I dislike them. I dunno the model number, but they are massive, with sound quality (in my opinion) worse than my 20 quid in ears. They are comfy tho, but he has to carry them around in his school bag all day, and has to stop them being crushed as they are not folding.
