Headlights for a gokart???

I have a toggle switch on my steering column there is one red wire going to the starter where the positive terminal is also connected to and theres a black wire thats goes nowhere could i use this to hook headlights to my gokart? just wondering!!!

That sounds like your kill switch. If it is your kill switch, then there is no way you can attach lights to it and make them work

@Landuse Yes it's was a kill switch but it no long works for that so can I alter it anyway to make it work with lights because its now an electric start with key

I would imagine if it a toggle switch it could be made to work with lights...
I dont know that a push button one would work though.

Ok thanks toystory_4wd and my engine is a Honda gx340 electric start where would I run the ground
