If you got a capacitor for it, I think it could be possible to actually run the headlights without a battery, but you would still need everything else. This might not work on your 212, but a ton of enduros or snowmobiles have a setup like this.

I did a little research, and you would have to buy a new flywheel for your predator, and a coil. This would cost quite a bit of money, plus your battery. So, I found this, which is a lifan 7hp with a charging coil already on, electric start. More spendy but less trouble to get headlights.

If you run a bike dynamo you can run a head light very easily. Or get a small battery like this (they won't leak).. If you use LED lights It will last for several hrs.

$90 Predator + $84 for electrics.
Think I'd buy the electric start 7HP Lifan from Home Depot for $169.

Seriously though, when it comes to headlights, some are real, and others are fake.
So the only question I ever have as to headlights, is one of authenticity.

Here's some for you!

My vote is for LED headlights cobbled together from whatever one can find and the gel cell battery that Rail rider posted.

Could find something like a fire rescue spotlight and mount the charger to the floor. We have a few upstate from my uncle when he was in fire rescue and they are the best lights Ive ever used.

Ive also made a removable helmet light that works well. One of those cheap $18 multi-mode zoomable aluminum flashlights. With some 1" conduit clamps you could mount it anywhere. Used Drift camera mounts.
