Well, having like 6 karts again, I have multiple "test mules".... (yes ,still want the wrap) I just think it would be worth trying, just to see what happens, and as a guide to cheap cool wrap alternative, if it works, for others on the low budget budget.....

iv used stove rope. there are a few different styles so you may have to look around. the only bad part is they only give you like 6 feet so if your going over a big pipe or muffler you may not get it all covered. iv been lucky and always have just enough to do what i want

yup all stove rope. they are all slightly different style or brand since they were all installed a few year apart. so just shop around and see what looks good. I havnt used the kind oxymoron got. that style is fluffy like regular rope. the kind i used is flat and hollow. your suposed to run a metal springey thing through it to fluff it up when its on the stove. i thought about slitting it so that it will cover more but then you end up with frazzled edges so iv left it round. Works great though i havnt had any problems with it coming apart or anything and its been on some of those bikes for 5 or 6 years

Thanks porche930dude, appreciate the pics and info.

Well guys, I have a GFCI that won't reset, a gas dryer with no heat, and my old daycare provider's son's scooter to fix... so, looks like another weekend of working on everything except what I want to work on. Oh well.

I post up a pic of my oven rope header as soon as I get a chance. Promise.
