Okay so I bough a sleeve to turn my 212 3/4 shaft into a 1in shaft to use the torque converter I had that was brand new.. but the problem I'm running into is that the tq part are keyed to slide into the groove but the sleeve is also keyed to slide into something like male female but there both males so it won't work and I'm not sure if I can find a torque converter that will fit my shaft that is 3/4 and also 420 chain. Will a 41 work on 420 chain ? I don't want to have to buy new sprockets and everything considering what I have is all brand new

I stared at it for almost two minutes and the best I could come up with was to use half of each key.

Cut the stepped key in half, then grind away half of the key inside the bore of the Driver unit.
Not sure if something like that could even work.

So use the "now shortened" stepped key closest to the block to hold the adapter sleeve with the crank.
Then on the outer part of the crank use the "now shortened" key inside the driver unit.

My ideas usually suck. LOL

Or I'm not sure if set screws alone could hold the adapter sleeve in place with out the stepped key?

Not sure people feelings about drilling and tapping into the crank shaft, but maybe you could do that, then put a set screw or two through the sleeve and actually into the crank (eliminating the need for the stepped key).

Or offset the keyways, drill through the sleeve, use a 3/16" (#10?) set screw that will fit inside the 3/4" shaft's 3/16" keyway.

Well there is a 44 series 3/4" Driver Unit that uses the 7/8" belt.
I think it can be used with the 40 series driven. They both use the same belt. I just don't know the length you need. And when I see at gokartsupply.com it costs $150 for the driver unit.

How come nobody asked for pictures yet.
