I just purchased a new Harbor Freight 212cc engine i bought a thinner copper gasket ".016" thick I have already removed the governor. Should I break the motor in with stock head gasket or pull the head off and put the new copper gasket on,and then break the Motor In?

I believe the newer Predators already have a thin gasket in them. The old ones had a .040-.050" gasket. Might as well leave it alone for now. Not going to gain much, actually, you might lose as I think the new gaskets are .010"

.030 is a huge difference when it comes to compression. You sure about those new gaskets?

Agreed

I'll take his word for it. .009" metal head gasket on the newer Predators. Save your time and leave the stock one in place if yours is one of the new EPA models with the tank vent.

Then you have the new version with the different tank and the thin head gasket correct?

Supposedly the metal cams aren't ground the same as the plastic ones and don't make as much power. I don't have any metal cammed ones to degree or I'd check.

Depends on where ARCA race schedule is
Yeah thats a load also imo. The only thing that should ever be plastic on anything toting my but around is the zip tie holding my water bottle on. I just don't see a plastic cam being able to take more abuse than a metal one.

*Edit: Nevermind me, I misread your post sir. But that is interesting information!

So are the lobes bigger on the plastic gear? I'm thinking it couldn't be much of a difference.
