I cant find much on the web about a single personal tracker go-kart and I was wondering if you would know any good sites or designs

most people he have the money and the knowhow to do the frame, drive and engine but tracks is holding everyone back

yea, the main problem is making tracks cheaply, and easily, then being able to move the tracks. the best i have seen is tracks made entirely of metal, and tracks made from a baler belt.

EDIT: search the forum!

that you tube vid; i have noticed it seams like the main problem with that design is transferring the power from the engine to the track.

get some broad elivator chain from a combine harvester

if u dont know what it is then just go to a machinery dealership like john deer (even though they are crrap :)) and ask for some as it is replaced every 2 years in every header so u can walk out if they ask u to even pay a cent

broad elivator chain is the better version of what devino said

That that the really wide chain thats like 4 links stuck together?

And do they even sell JDs in Australia?

we have every brand in aus
probs a better range than the us as u lot seam very bais to the green

broad evlevator is the bit that pulls the crop from the big wide bit out the front into the machine

it is made of 3 or 4 chains with a T peice kinda thing welded on every 4 links this t peice has a bar bolted to it that connects one chain to the other

I'm setting up to build Personal Tracked Vehicles in 2-3 sizes with the smallest fitting into a short bed truck approx. 54" wide by 77" long, 15-20 hp, infinite variable speed, instantly reversable, 15-20 mph top speed, weighing approx 600 lbs with 15" tracks. Approx. price will be $4000-$4500 Like to here back from people interested. Thanks 4 now
