1977 Iron head planted on a 3202 Yerf dog frame, this was not really that hard to do. But now im on the brake system and im looking at putting drum brakes off a 4 wheeler on the front with the independent front suspension.
Unless you did a TON of reinforcement, that frame will rip apart from the amount of torque that engine will produce. But it looks grate! I hope I am not telling you something you did not already know, and you did reinforce it!

Yep pretty much what they said, so try to see if you can reinforce the frame,it does look amazing though

the thing only has 57HP at the crank... as long as OP's tubing is over .090 wall thickness. I'd say he'd be fine... Most motorcycles I've worked on with steel frames [a LOT less steel then that's on this kart, mind you] have about a .090 wall thickness on average. [about 2.3mill] and pushing the 90+ HP marks... [steel frames =/= older super sports..] I would say he's safe.. bracing in high stress areas maybe to help with twisting because of the sheer weight of the engine. but his custom rear-end seems to be 1/8" walled. should be good enough for the engines weight.
its hard to see the axle. but as long as its supported properly. it should hold just fine..

I could be wrong but, I have concerns as to whether a 1" axle will "keep up" with the engine, then again, the sprocket hub really is the weakest link... just saying...

I know I have a lot more to do, the axle is 1" hard steel the engine cradle is 2 inch round pipe very heavy. and I have lots more beefing up left to do. this is a not rush job. thanks for your - input. And it will not be ridged frame.

I own a Buell motorcycle, the engine of which is based on the Harley Sportster. It runs hot enough for Buell to add a electric fan to help cool the engine at low speeds. I would try to fabricate some scoops or a fan to help cool that engine, especially since most of the time you'll probably be running at relatively low (sub 50 mph) speeds. Maybe an oil cooler too. Be a shame to blow up such a nice engine!
