Uncle Tony's Garage told me to get a basic HF flux welder because he's not a welding snob and it works....(shrugs).

Ive been using my flux core for years (same as the $99 one up there) without any problems. Just know the wire runs hot all the time. You dont need to press the button to flash yourself.

I bought a used Lincoln flux core when I was 13yo, for 75$. 15 years later I still use it alot and have put
no parts into it other that contact tips and wire.

If you can, invest in a used name brand is my opinion. It welds much
nicer , can be converted to gas, has replacement parts, ect

Spring Black Friday and the Rotaderp 212cc engine is on sale again. It's true the Inside Track Club gives you early access to the deals, and that may make a difference if your store sells out of engines before the weekend but pffft, I'm no club member.

Not much. More hop up parts available for the 420 by far. I have one and after building it pretty much all out, it runs pretty good. Stock, or even as a stage one
( header pipe and low restriction air filter ) it wasn't all that impressive. Cam, milled and ported head and valve springs made all the difference in the world.

Currently trying to pin down and predict when they have a Parking Lot Sale (every 3 months?) and when their engines go on sale.

Parking lot sale this weekend but I only see Predator generators on sale.... which is prescient given the dire situation we find ourselves in with riot$ and civil unrest and possible WW3...

I have a similar Nascar welder. Problem is I can't weld to the right. It welds left just fine though.

Hellion. I think you are obviously on their mailing list. They put out coupons for certain products that are heavily discounted. Looks like engines are not on there this time. FWIW, when you started this thread at the first part of March, I got myself a 420 predator with electric start for $299. Didn't need it, but it was just too darn good of a deal to pass up.
We aren't in WW 3 yet, and I pray to God it isn't just around the corner, but PLEASE tell Denny if he really thinks that there are no riots, he needs to come to California. They are in every major and most mid sized cities.
Bring out the fire hoses and the billy clubs.

I am, but it feels like they make me wade through a bunch of garbage to see what they want me to see/buy but not what I want to buy. It's a game with algorithms and stuff...

No one here in their right mind buys these, but I have no qualms about having a 2 or 3 HP Briggs thumper on a smaller mini bike to putt around on.
