Now that it is the 6th ( here in California) Thank You Denny. Sandwiched in between the 390 and the 427 it was a strong runner. My older brother had a 1963 Galaxy with that engine in what I guess was the H.P. version. From the factory with 3 two barrels, a solid lifter cam, 4:11 rear end and a 4 speed. I believe it was rated at 406 horsepower. Fun car for its time. Lots of street races, and being that we grew up in L.A. county went with him on many occasions to Lions drag strip.

66 Fairlane GTA. Did you own one? One of the few 60's cars I truly salivate over.
I don't remember the black one, but one late night, in my 54 mainline with a pretty warmed over 312 and my date at my side I was repeatedly embarrassed by a brand new blue one. Hated him, but have liked that car ever since.
