I'm hoping to ID a go kart that needs a new driver's side spindle. I'm pretty sure it's some type of Hammerhead. Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome...

Off hand, Im not sure.....

I have a question of you machine however....
Seeing you have a small block clone and the way you have you jackshaft setup... what is your gear ratio?...
It looks like the first set is 1:1 with the clutch....

The engine is a Honda 5.5hp, gx160. My current gear setup is pieced together just to make things work with the few parts I have. Let's see here....the clutch is 12t #35 to a 12t #35 on the jackshaft (1), then a 10t #40 on the jackshaft (2) to a 70t #40 on the axle.

The #40/#41/#420 are still unfamiliar to me, so I'm not sure what number in that family all my 4x stuff is - everything fits, so I went with it.

Basically, I had a #35 driver sprocket on my clutch and #4x driven sprocket on my axle.

Ya as I thought... Well thats not all that bad ratio wise, 7:1... But it is a GX160....

How does it ride?....

It rode great until my roommate saw a cop half mile away, panicked for some ungodly reason, and drove headfirst into a ditch at full throttle. Hence the broken spindle.

I'm not too sure about the make either, but a lot of kart parts are generic, so take a few pics of the spindle you want to replace and I am sure we can point you in the right direction to get a new one

looks just like my mudhead. Mine has a 208cc electric start with a torque converter but mine wasnt the "r" so no reverse. I am in the process of taking my tc apart and clean it up. Here are a couple of pics of it.
