Hammerhead 250 Carburetor

Hey y’all so I’ve rebuilt my Carburetor after a year of sitting outside plugged with rags on the kart but I keep trying to run it but eventually after 5 minutes of idle the Carburetor keeps over flowing and spits and sputter and dies any thoughts? Or do I need to provide more info

Try it with the auto choke unplugged. Did you rebuild the carb or just clean it?

I’ve rebuilt the whole thing and yes with auto choke off too

Check the seat where the needle valve stops the fuel, the needle valve itself or the float. Check the vacuum operated fuel valve under the gas tank by removing the vacuum hose and seeing if fuel stops running or the valve diaphragm has ruptured and is allowing fuel to continuously run or if too much fuel is overloading the carb. Check for debris in the fuel tank that might be getting under the needle valve and keeping it open. Not much else to check, it's a basic setup.
