GX390 starting problem

ok so our gx 390 has a electric start and a fuel pump the carb has no choke just a pin with red lock tight we started it up 3 times then when we tried to start it again it will not start tries to but just does not fire up has spark pulled it out and touched it to metal tried 7 spark plugs all different sizes brands ect its getting fuel but not starting we even pulled the kill switch wires off to get it to fire again what could it be ?would timing have an affect on it if it started all ready

Yes. The flywheel key may have sheared; remove the flywheel nut & check that the keyways are lined up...

lol it could have the **** thing sat out side in the rain for 12 years never started it could have been so rusted it just broke or gave way from vibration ill post pics of kart and show you guys what im dealing with

That looks cool... a little rough but, nothing a bit of elbow grease won't fix...

-what condition was it in when you got it?
-what have you done to it since?

um new oil lol new spark plug tried charging the 12v battery does not hold a charge um paint the frame and body thats about it other then that the only thing its pointing to is timing i have to pull the whole engine off lol again 100 pounds through tiny space oh a little update i just sold a yamaha kt100s straight shaft made in 1976 that ran on a 1970s emmick body very nice sold for 500 came with and extra engine the guy said it only had one piston size left in it
