Gx340 motor maybe make a kart?

Hello all,

I have a pressure washer and was wondering if I could use this motor to make a go cart. I have been looking at some (racing type) karts and have seen motors like this. I live in vero beach Florida and might be interested into kart racing but I really have no idea about it yet. I'm pretty good with a wrench but no formal training and have a job and would just like to start a hobby mostly.

Most pressure washers come with a tapered shaft. Therefore no clutch will fit, only way to fix this is with a replacement crank shaft

if you do have a tapered shaft it's not that hard to chage it out with a 1 inch shaft. i hade to do so with my 13hp honda engine and can welp you with that part. i had got my crank shaft off ebay for $55 free ship.
