oki i have posted before on how to get speed i worked out my gearing
i used the speed calculator and got this

current engine is gx160 2:1 wet clutch

my 2:1 box reduces my engines final RPM output to
1800 RPM governor on
2800 RPM governor off

so that gives me this
governor on
Inches RPM Axle Clutch MPH
13 1800 42 13 22
governor off
Inches RPM Axle Clutch MPH
13 2800 42 13 34

it is apparent that i need to change my gearing or have more rpm/hp

i have been looking at rods/pistons/carbs ect ect but dont know where to start

i also was thinking about a mini moto style nos kit would this be any good ?

please help me this mini buggy is seriously boring me doing only 22-25mph (gps) on the beach

take that gearbox of and go with a nice TC and 5:1 maybe 6:1 gearing (depending your tire size) and if u still want a bit more kick start with basics. like an aftermarket air filter, exhaust and tune the carb.

will c/f clutch be anygood at off roading ?

and a tc is out of the question after adding tc,jackshaft,my time

its not worth the money
£200+delivery just for the tc
£400 for complete honda cbr400 on the road

its a no brainer really (I)

a cent clutch would do but i would go with higher gearing so it doesnt burn up. what size wheels are you running?

oki i have found a pretty cheap cvt comet tav2 (probs a copy) i am just wondering what kind of seeds i can expect from my kart with one of these
tav 2 30s

Honda GX160 not a clone 5.5 de gov
trash the 2:1 wet clutch
bolt up a tav2 30s with a 12T/43T final drive

Your engine might not have the type of output shaft that the TC would fit, I'd suggest you pull that reduction box off and check it before ordering any parts.

i have had it off before it has a 1" shaft with keyway not sure of size its not a tapered shaft

is this the correct shaft ?

edit: would i also need to run a jackdhaft to help support the backplate or could i just bolt it to my crankcase

4:1 ratio will kill your clutch quick on 13's as I said a ct with a 5:1 ratio. it would be perfect on 13's torquey with some speed

i am lost here :S
my total tyre+rim is 13" tall and my rims are 6"

wouldn't this be easy for my 2:1 clutch to turn ?

but with the tav2 what sort of speed could I achieve ?

my current hubs are 3 hole but I have a set of 4 hole ones that I want to put on and throw some quad tyres on there like 15-16" tall
to give better looks and speed.

a good cent clutch is £100 delivered so for an extra £100 am worth getting a tav2 ? for off road/speedy runs along soft beach sand
looking to achieve about 50mph without losing the low-end
