Good evening.
I bought a go kart tonight that was a custom build. I am in the process of ordering some parts for the engine (GX160, true Honda motor not a clone). Noticed it has the electric start kit, however there is no battery on the machine. Since it has the starter motor, key assembly, starting solenoid etc - how do I go about connecting a battery to it? Is it as simple as wiring the battery to the positive terminal on the solenoid and the negative to a ground? Sorry for the likely stupid question, I'm not very familiar with wiring.
I also would like to add a kill switch or potentially a second key assembly that starts the motor if possible at the dash to make it simpler to start/stop the engine. How hard would this be to do? Bare minimum, I'd like at least a kill switch.
Thanks in advance!
