Does anyone know what this line is for that comes from the OHV cover? Would i be able to use it as a source for the fuel pump? Thanks as I have very little knowledge about these engines.

I plan to relocate the fuel tank underneath the steering hoop thus the need for the pump. Also, changing the exhaust and putting a cone filter from like BMI or another online site. I wanted to drill a hole in that cover and put a fitting in there for the pulse fuel pump, but wasn't for certain what that was.

In theory, you're on the right track. But you may have issues putting your pulse take-off there. Most guys drill a hole high on the side cover, or use the governor arm hole. I just drilled directly into the intake port.

Rmm727, thanks for the provided link. That is exactly what i had in mind, do you think i would need to replace the cover with that one since mine is a lil different with the hose coming from the side? Will it run any differently without that line hooked up? With the open air filter, that hose will not be able to be attached to anything, Thanks again!!

The actual PCV vent hose does not affect engine operation. Top it off with a $2 automotive-style inline fuel filter to help ensure crap doesn't get drawn into the engine.

IF you were to tap the intake port, THEN a vacuum leak would cause lousy running, as the additional air would dilute the mixture.

You don't have to buy that. You can just drill your valve cover in approx. the same location and thread in a hose barb and then put a small filter where the breather hose was as Toystory suggested.
