i finally found one i can fit in. it's a 4 speed, with reverse. even has purple neon underneath. i've got plenty of room. it's original to it's initial building, needed servicing, and a good carb soak, but i like it as good as the blue one.

it has an 8 hp electric, and pull start vertical shaft tecumseh, with a tecumseh 4 sp, w/ reverse tranny, with a live axle, with only 1 wheel pulling, chain drive. had a horn, disconnected it, and took the horn out, didn't like the way it sounded. all lights work, and planning to go to 8" wheels, and tires, probably do keystone hubcaps, and white letters.

i'll take a couple of pics, while it's up in the air, tomorrow.

gotta order a horn button kit for the new steering wheel, 9" rat rod style

can anybody give me a date on the engine, the numbers are

195 150214 spec.# 1113D

it looks like late 70s to early 80s to me. looked it up on parts tree, and it came back to a tvlm model, or something like that.

gonna start the dual exhaust, soon, just gonna make it out of pump pipe to see how well it will work

Perfect! I think you have a Peerless 700 series tranny in there. There's a guy on here right now wanting to build a unique ride, and I suggested a driveline like that... Mower stuff!

you're right. it has some sort of clutch on the bottom, so it won't be pulling all the time.

i'll get some better shots tomorrow

yea, turn signals, and put the horn back on, i think would get me day light use, but who wants to drive that daily? it sure gets attention, which is what i want for parades

:wai: Sharp ride. I like the fact of the centrifugal clutch, as it does away with an idler and linkage. Those XL's tecky are good engines , cast iron cyl liner. I have in my shop, a old style Shriner Kart with a Indy style body. Which around the 1st of March I am going to rebuild front to back as it has been severly abused over the years and repower with a Honda GX160 which has already been slightly moded.

yea,

got the carb cleaned out, man she purrs.

it ran so good, i wanted to hear it better, so off to the hardware store for dual exhaust, and, for as ugly as it it, it sure sounds good, loud, deep, and loud. gonna screw the bottom pipes off, and screw in a couple of the big cigar mufflers.

gonna have to change the axle to change the wheels to 8", but it's coming, gotta save up,

dose kustum dewell zaust pipes wuz spinsiv, cost me a whole $15

this one must have been sitting, more than it was running

the cart resembles a 32,3,4 ford roadster, the exhaust resembles my redneck engineering, but it really sounds good. should have the mufflers, tomorrow, just to tone it down, she's loud!!!!
