Hi, Anyone know what size chain fits the sprockets on this JS?
Or if this will fit a 4.5hp Robin engine.

I think you need to email or call GTC on that. I don't see any information on their site. Seems a little pricey....

Klicky, Thanks, you are right. The guy emailed me back finaly? Why do people usally go with 41 or 40 size chain on these? Is it that #35 is not up for the job? I will be changing mine to #35, because thats what my $80 clutch is, & that #35 size sprockets will give my the slow speed im looking for.
qtband, yes its spendy, but after learning about the cast ones breaking, & needing to run the sprockets both on the same side. I went with this one. Its still way cheeper then the 2to1 wet clutch gearbox. $270! ouch
Getting all the parts together! Track aint dry yet anyway.

When you refer to Cast one's breaking i believe you are talking about the Tav30 Setup Which is totally Different.
I would Stay Away From GTC They are way overpriced and pretty sure there not up to par with the stuff they claim to replace.... just my thoughts and a few others I'm sure.

You should not have problems with the cast plate breaking, that recent event is extremely rare and has never happened before that I know of. If you only want a js look into other options too, you can weld a 1-1/4" sch40 pipe to your frame and put a shaft & bearings in it.

Here's the item number for a 3/4" clutch, #35 chain, on Ebay for $27.

Its a clone clutch, I guess it is a bit different from the standard "ss" maxtorque clutch to make it worth twice the price. It is higer engagement for one.

That jackshaft kit looks pretty neat IMO, even if it is a little pricy. However, you could get a comet backplate and parts, and make your own js kit.

Even a Max Torque track tunable should be around 65 dollars... I've seen these "clone" clutches but still don't see why its worth the price. Hell you can make a standard MaxTorque SS clutch stall by shortening the spring.

After some research i've seen it more than once, I'm not knocking the Cast plate or trying to start a debate. I was just telling him that GTC is not the right place to buy any of those items....
Stick with Comet There products are reliable and you should not have any problems with them.
