As I said in my intro I have the frame /body from a helix 150 and a running complete 2002 gsxr 750 that should combine to make an exhilarating ride to say the least. Part of my plans include swapping the complete front suspension from a can am atv so that I will have much needed front brakes, hydraulic clutch/brake pedals, cable shifter also lifted from the can am, and a pseudo dash made of an aluminum sign using the gauge from that motorcycle along with an aftermarket start button and a few switches for lights etc. I may have to extend the frame behind the driver seat to accommodate the engine/cooling system. I have most of the plan worked out and most of it on paper. Any and all helpful advise and/or tips welcomed. I have all of the connections in the m/C wiring harness and hoses for the radiator/oil cooler labeled clearly.

Interesting, I about about to embark on a similar project. Just haven't found a good donor bike yet.
I luckily found one that had been impounded and hadn't been picked up from the tow man. I paid 150 for it and it could be put back on the road if that was my intention but I think me and the kids will have more fun with the GSXRKART. Knowing the towing operator well helped a lot I'm certain.

So I picked up a can am outlander atv over the weekend and cut the front half of the frame off to graft under the kart. The forward/reverse shifter is dual cable operated so that will provide the most reliable not to mention Smoot shifting for the kart. The front end will provide for I think much needed front brakes. The steering on the kart is a sort of chain driven "rack and pinion". Can anyone tell me a good reason not to convert to a real rack and pinion for steering?
