By the way, anti spatter spray and nozzle dip is for the nozzle of the gun so the spatter won’t stick to it. You can get porous welds using it on areas to be welded. As long as you are not laying a weld within 1/4 inch of where you apply it, it should be ok.

Ah yea I do use nozzle dip too but have heard conflicting points. The porous welds makes sense I just seen some people on YouTube spraying the work piece and welding through the stuff so me learning just thought it was all good lol. I still had some spatter I had to grind off because I didn’t apply a ton but yea makes sense thanks 👍🏻
