Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been looking for a go kart project to work on with my son and was in love with the Go Kart Alley/ Go Powersports kit but the price makes my eyes water. This past weekend I picked up a Manco American Express that is not too far gone and will be a great project. I look forward to engaging with the group !

THIS is the way. Taking or keeping an old kart frame out of the landfill is great public service and "green" and all that.
I saw when you joined and immediately gravitated to the username haha. Fun times..

Welcome! Post some pics of your kart you picked up. Start a new thread in the Photo Gallery/Project Log section and post some pics of your Manco. Log your progress and ask as many questions as you want through out the project.

Welcome to the forum. Fixing up an older used kart is really the best option. You can make it just the way you and your son want it, and have a solid factory built frame. Good move.

Go Kart Alley, aka Orange Krate is a member here actually. As you know, Orange Krate is best known as the American Express or the 225 model. The GPS kit is outrageous $$$$
