I'm new...obviously. I've lurked for awhile, but not enough to know anything.
I'm 45, married father of three. A ten year old daughter, two boys... three and a half and eight weeks < .
Thinking of building a Kart for them. I'm thinking electric with a Mario Bro. theme or flare to it.
Fabricating is not a problem! I can bend pipe, weld, machine, mill..whatever! I could probably buy a used frame, but though it might be fun to design my own and go from there. So I'll be trying to figure out details to get started.
Looks like I hit money here!

Hey- welcome to the forum! Building a kart for the kids is a GREAT idea! I built one for my kids (I'm 38 and my two boys are 11 and 9), and now- well- two kids, one kart- you do the math!!!

Have a look around, there's tons of info here. Feel free to ask questions, we'll happily do our best to help. Most of the projects here tend to be gas-powered, but there's a few electric guys on here, too.

Be sure to start up a build thread once you're set to start. Also note that we have a Build-Off Contest kick-starting in a few days- you might want to throw your hat in the ring. Cheers!
