Have a background in automotive machining, stock cars, race snowmobiles and now lookingt o build a Kart for a 5 year old grandson.
It would be used for around the back yard (3 acres) which is partly an old abandoned gravel/sand pit with some bumps and low hills.
I have been looking at electric and gasoline power. Even thought of how to rig something up from an old snowmobile clutch and assembly...even has a disc brake on the "jack shaft".
It aseems to me with a daring little one, top speed would be the one area to be very careful with.
Looking for suggestions.
