So, where to begin! I'll keep it simple, I'm starting down the road of building karts for me and the boys. I have some DIY fab experience but nothing like some of the guys here are displaying. I have the basics (plus a few goodies...) for tools, certainly enough to get the job done, the space to do it and the desire to get-r-done. I will be jumping in without much regard for just about anything and in the end I hope to have a small fleet of off road karts for boys (ok grandkids) to old farts like me to have a ball in. For what it's worth, I represent at least three adults with kids all with the same goals in mind so if you are in the Limington area (York county) be sure to send me a message as we will be making a small off road track on upwards of 17 acres (private land!).

Hi I just joined and found your post .....we live I Detroit near Newport /Pittsfield ,,,,and I also could describe myself the same way ,,,,(minus the track ) Theres a dirt track over in Unity Plantation named Fantasy Speedway that we are a member of and we have gotten the grand kids out for a few laps between runs (and yes me to ) would love to here more about your track .....as I said I just joined the group ,,,,,seems that timing is everything ,,,
