Salutari din California.
Din ce parte din Ro esti?

Ok, thats enough Romanian, i left when i was 5 years old so my romanian sucks!
I'd suggest that you look into one of those cheap chinese atvs or scooters, those are EVERYWHERE in Ro & i'm sure you can find a wrecked one for cheap.. that would be a good engine & transmission base..

No, put the plate the other way . Long ways ,across the bar behind the axle and the one behind the seat. Ill post a link or pick of the disc hub....
Other than that, its coming along.... As dragos suggested, look for a chinese scooter/atv... they are cheap everywhere. Look for a wrecked or "wont start" types that have promise.... I bought a complete running 125cc dirtbike for $80..... just needed a back tire+tube....

Pic 1 shows the layout of the engine mounting plate for a honda/clone. notice it runs from front to back, not side to side. note that if you use an engine from a scooter, motorbike, etc, you won't use a plate but, the mount will be in the same basic position & layout...

Pic 2 shows the brake setup on my kart. the disc is literally a round piece of steel bolted to a brake disc hub. There are different types & different sizes to suit many different axle & disc combinations

Admittedly I haven't been following this from the start so if I'm understanding this wrong please correct me Fabroman, but I don't see anything stopping you from putting everything in the middle.

Generally though, if you mount the engine off to the side you can make the go kart shorter by putting the engine next to the seat slightly

For Romania, I think you would have MUCH more fun with an off road style go kart.

I think that you know that most of the roads here are made from dirt:D [but there are also other roads that pass through the towns or the national roads where you can drive a kart:D.I preffer just the racing karts .
