yeah i used that guys tips when trying to weld aluminum (100% argon) with my mig a few months back. Results were terrible, but not for lack of trying.

Turns out welding 16 ga sheet is REALLY TOUGH / IMPOSSIBLE with my setup.

But anyhoo, they've got some info.

Welding thin aluminum is almost impossible with a MIG anyway, unless you've got a spool gun. I figured that out the hard way about 24 years ago.

Better off with oxy/TIG for AL that thin.
