Another Streaker question! :surrender:
The plan on my kart is to run a Hilliard Extreme Duty clutch. The problem this presents is gear ratio. I got a 54 tooth sprocket, and the Extreme Duty to my knowledge comes in 10T only. I physically cannot run a T/C. If remember correctly it has 11 inch rear tires. Any ideas? I’d like to run a high-quality clutch that doesn’t break the bank, and I really love the design of Hilliard clutches, spring changes are EZ. The Extreme Duty retails about $55 around the inter web.

Or you could talk to JimD about a Max-Torque clutch. He may be able to build you something even better or have a better suggestion.
I keep forgetting we have a Max-Torque employee on this forum! :roflol:
Hey @JimD, any ideas? I'm looking for a 9 tooth, 40/41/420 clutch on a 3/4 inch shaft under $100 or ideally under $60, that's high quality and won't wear out fast like a $20 Jungle Store clutch. I can let you know any other specifics, I'm a clutch noob so go easy on me. :thumbsup:

This guy might know a think or 2 about clutches and t/c.

Pay attention when he talks about the rpm engagement for clones and flat head briggs. I like torqy builds.

Also, when he talks about the 20 series 7" drivens for karts vs the 30 series 6" drivens for mini bikes. I like a 7" drivens on every thing it will fit on, 😆 🤣 😂

@BaconBitRacing
What makes you say "you cannot run a t/c" ???

Engine plate sits too low???

I have figured out no one sells 9 tooth clutches for a reason, they don’t fit! So that means, from the factory, this had a 10 tooth. Problem solved. 5:1 gear ratio but relatively small tires.
