Before I begin, please don't tell me to search it up. I know what removing a governor is but I have a different question related to removing the governor. So I want to remove the governor but I bought the engine used. I don't know if the previous owner changed valve springs or what he did to it. All he told me was that he planned on making a go kart with it. So I am wondering if there is a way to know what valve springs I have. I am also wondering if I can remove the governor without removing the flywheel and if so how.

Depends on the engine as far as identifying stock parts from aftermarket.
And I can't think of any engines that require removing the flywheel to do a governor delete...
IMO, if it's still got the governor, it's probably stock. Gov delete is pretty much the first thing anybody does. That's just a guess, but I don't know why anyone would start throwing money at an engine to make it not go any faster.

First I'm assuming this is a clone type... You don't mention what motor it is.....
A gov removal doesn't need to remove the flywheel... It'll be the crankcase cover that comes off... You will most likely need a new cover gasket... As that typically tears as you open the case..
The valve springs aren't a nessisary changed item when gov is removed... To see what ones you have, unbolt the valve cover, take a look... Post a pic of the as they might be a common upgraded one...
Or buy a stock set, and reinstall...
I think you'll need to do some more checking up on the gov delete process...
