Hi, I have checked out the way to take the governor out of my 6.5 predator engine. Do I need to take the governor arm off that is left hanging inside the engine. And if I take out the oil sensing unit what do I do with the wire that went to the unit.

Leave the sensor use the wire for a kill switch or just wrap it in electrical tape so it can't ground out. (As soon as it touches ground...it'll kill the engine.)

Ok thanks do I take the governor arm out that is inside the engine after I take the governor gear out. mike

I did, I had to rotate the engine about a bit to get it down.

Then, i put a 1/4-20 bolt coated in JB Weld in the hole.
