Governor Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the governor gear from an OHH50 tecumseh engine? I have the crankcase cover of, i just can't figure out how the gear is attached.

I just broke mine apart on my Tecumseh h35 and left the shaft it sat on there

I feel ashamed admitting this... but that's exactly what I did to my OHH55. And I removed the washer.

There should be a clip holding it in that you can remove. The arm can stay in place for throttle control.

Don't be ashamed everyone does it and there is no reason to remove it because it's not going to hit anything

I meant about breaking it apart. Just ripped it off with pliers
