Governor and oil cut off removal question

So I understand the reasoning behind the governor removal that is limiting rpm. But why are people removing the low oil cut off on Predator engines? Seems like a good safety to prevent issues. Just make sure it's not low on oil and we are increasing oil capacity by a TINY amount. It doesn't seem worthwhile to me. What am I missing?

When you pull them out, ( which I do ) it's a good idea to check the oil level on a regular basis. If you have it on a generator or a cement mixer and it's running
30 to 40 hours a week while you are working, well then it's a pretty good idea.

If the engine is on a mini bike, go-kart, or any other rider device with wheels, like Denny said, at least unplug it.
when the oil is sloshing around it will sense low oil and shut down.
As panchothedog says always check the oil regularly,..... what ever the engine is mounted on.

Ok, thanks for the info. I was watching some videos about the governor removal and they talked about some hard-core offroading. They didn't say even sharp turns will slosh it around enough to shut the engine off. Glad I asked before I put it back together.

Not all of the "212" variants even have one - my Tillotson doesn't have the sensor, or even the hole in the block for the pass thru connector.

I have two clone engines that don't a sensor, and no hole in the block like commented by Willie in the previous post. One came on a Baja Motor Sports
kart I bought at a Pep Boys auto supply in 2008. The other came on a mini bike,
a Trail Master 200 that I purchased from GPS on 2020. I think they are added to the engines more likely destined for industrial use. I E like the predator.
