can someone give me some tips on putting a new govenor gear on a 6 hp tecumsah engine , someone suggested to just remove the govenor but right now the engine is reving out of control

Revving out of control? thats because your throttle is not hooked up correctly for no gov use.

might wanna make sure that the butterfly isn't just flapping around by itself attached to nothing.
