Hello all, I am new here.

I got two funkarts for the kids, I will be live axle swapping them, I was wondering what is the best axle kit if I want to run the chinese atv rear wheels. both karts have 212 predators, not sure what chain, either #35 or 40/41.

I was thinking about getting the 1" axle kits from BMI, but what hubs would I need to go from 1" keyed axle to chinese 3 lug wheels? I know they have an adapter for that purpose, but it looks pretty hoakey, and I would have to get hubs and the adapters.

I see all these chinese axle kits on amazon, but it seems like I would never be able to get a sprocket that works for the american go kart chain sizes.

Maybe there is a better way overall?

i would say I like the idea of the hydraulic disk brakes on the chinese things, and the price point, but all the reviews ussually say they are junk.

Welcome! I will pass this case off to my more experienced peers. I know Denny just uses simple old band brakes.

Guys no hijacking I want to keep this one.

Go with 40 chain, it's alot heavier duty and you can use 40, 41, 410, 415 or 420 chain on the sprocket.

If I where looking for a good axle with wheels at the le ght I want I would try a website specific to go karts. The only website I've used so far is gopowersports.com, I know they sell live axle swap kits that come with wheels and tires for a 1 inch axle. They are also custom length

Attach some pictures of the current axle setup. Axles attach a few ways and it is necessary to know for a “kit” swap unless you have the means for fabrication and welding. Wheels are either bored to fit a specific axle diameter with a key or you need hubs bored for axle diameter with key and they bolt to wheels with specific bolt patterns. Start with the viability of swapping the axle via your preferred method, then find your wheel or hub/wheel combination.
Pictures will help with advice unless you can tell us exactly how the axles are currently mounted.

Some examples of live axles attached. Hope this helps you delineate your setup.
