Well i bought ny first project go kart and it is exactly that. A project. It came with a 250 cc engine off of an atv. It definetly needs some TLC. What do you guys suggest doing? From what the previous owner told me these are the main points that need to be tackled.
-clutch needs to be placed elsewhere from where it is now
-right forward wheel needs new bearings
-rear frame needs to be made rigid
-the welds suck *** on this go kart.
Here are some pictures
Let me know what you guys think. Im very hyped for this project

Very cool project! What size is the spindle on the front? It looks the same as the setup on my yerf dog, with the mower wheels.

I just noticed the clutch making contact with the chain. I dont know how to move that. Ima start this project officially in a month but i want to do all my research so that when i come back i can begin.

It looks like you have frame damage, the top right picture, The bottom rear corner of your kart. If I was you I would strip the thing down first get a level playing field and true everything up/reinforce the frame. I was hasty on my current build and tried to modify my cart with everything on it, now my frame is out of wack. Some would probably call it straight but I tend to be a little ocd.
