Got a KX...

Just went and looked at a 96' KX250...Got it for $600. Pro circuit pipe and suspension work by Protec. Nice bike...52 HP

The Previous-PO Raced the bike in the "C" class. Said the engine was rebuilt every year. It has some dings, but it is clean overall.

looks like someone did some fmx on that thing at one point too. it's got cut down seat foam and hand holes in the airbox

Seat was cut down from the previous owner...he was a bit shorter. IDK what "hand holes" you speak of? No FMX on this bike...

PO dropped off the bike...Ordered new rear sprocket..and thats about all it needs. Pretty excited for spring

most bikes have them now... makes it a ton easier to load the bike or just move it around when you can't ride it there

the guy is bull****ting you he didn't shave the seat because he was shorter no one does that if ur shorter u soften the shock and in '96 those bikes definitely didn't come with the hand cut-outs on the rear plates. but man thats a steal for $60 maybe he just liked the look of FMX a lot of ppl just do it for the look because it looks bada$$

.... i believe my friends cr125 had grips there i think it was a 92...
but then again its been a while since i have seen it
**found a pic, it does have slits there, but they are at the wrong angle

you don't soften the shock... if anything you get a shorter spring or change the linkage

you leave the shock alone and you leave the pre-load on the spring alone(that is the nuts that you tighten down on the spring)

Speaking of linkage... Has anyone else taken apart their rear end to grease it up yet?

Yeah...no. He is a short guy and DID shave the seat, and compress the spring. They are race plates on the sides...it was raced...

Tyler....yeah they are good bikes. I would've got something newer but the price was right....the mx track at my buddies i cleared a 30 ft tabletop a couple times no problem....Not bad for an 'old' bike....
