Yeah, if people would just get their kids something smaller to ride first and then slowly upgrade then there would be far less accidents. I'm kinda wondering if the mini buggy will be too much power for me... at least it will be safer, and I do have some driving experience already.

One of my friends has a house up in Maine, maybe next summer I will try to convince his dad to haul my buggy up there!

Thats just cop talk. If he had kids with dirtbikes and quads he would have never stopped you.

You should of asked if you had a dirtbike or quad would it be okay to ride? Or would he rather have you doing drugs?

How long were you out riding? Always keep it short.

Even on the mini?

well the mini doesnt have a police record, yet, i do and the trike does hahaha

i probably could go take the mini bike out until i get caught on that, hopefully i wouldnt get the same cop LOL

yea i think there should be a big sticker on every motored thing "RIDE AT OWN RISK"

you crash it, its your fault.

even if the vehicle isnt "safe".

because when someone was sitting on it they were doing fine, as soon as they started to move its yourself that has to control the bike and if you crash its your fault.....

drive into a ditch, youll get hurt, well what did you think was gonna happen? crash into a log head on at full speed, no shiit its gonna flip

yeah i doubt his kids have those haha.

my idea was that he saw me riding on the construction site, its his duty to stop me because its illegal and when i took off it just got him pissed off.

argueing with him wouldnt fix anything, i didnt want to get a ticket

its the kind of thing when youre a kid and your parents say "because i said so". the cop is the boss you cant tell him different

EDIT: i was out riding for about 1 minute 30 seconds from the time i left and the time it went back in the shed.......

What a douchebag cop. I absolutely hate this myth that trikes are deathtraps that kill anyone that gets on them. Maybe he should take a look through the accident reports compiled by the CPSC back then; a majority of those hurt on trikes were either drunk, high, underage, riding double or triple, or not wearing helmets. There's even one where a dude was hurt by the steak knife he was carrying in his pocket (yes, this is definitely the machine's fault).
Don't believe everything 60 Minutes tells you.

Now the cops are your parents? The cops tell you what you should ride and not ride?

Pull you over sure. But it's not his choice what your parents let you own?

ya thats a good point, i couldnt tell if he was saying my trike was illegal and gonna get taken away....

i forgot if i already said this but all the kids who you saw in the street on the video told the cop they didnt know where i was, and i BELIEVE how i was found out was because the kids thought the cop left, and they went to my house to warn me when the cop came back.

he found out they lied and he screamed at them "YOU LIED TO ME!!!!!" they were like 8 year olds....... and he had a long talk with them too

Screw him dude ride it all you want. Your over 16 he can't leagely do any thing about it unless you where ridding where your not supposed to. Other wise your completely allowed to ride it all you want.

In MA (I assume it's pretty similar in CT) the only place you can ride is your land, designated state trails(there are 2 areas in Massachusetts, about 3-4 hours from me...), or private land with permission from the owner.

The street is totally illegal, although fine if no one cares. That said just one neighbor or angry cop can ruin all the fun. There is a chance you could register an ATV for the street, although not easily, and allowed only on small roads.

So to sum that up the cop can do something if he is just about anywhere other than his driveway...

its so dumb...... maybe they should complain when their neighbor runs their lawn mower, the sound that makes is horrifying and ruins the peace.... has to be banned

EDIT: its illegal to make a small dirt jump on this kids property

they started complaining about the track he made, that they saw on google maps, otherwise they wouldnt even see it

Ban cars on gravel roads for it makes to much dust.

People need to bombard these neighbors with mail. I can think a few things I would like to say. In nice manner though.

So if the cop does have kids with dirtbikes and such, maybe you can ask him where they ride...? I rekon that would catch em off gaurd... I think I would.

Show him your not lookin for trouble, just someplace to have some fun... if he keeps going on about it being a trike, maybe a conversion is on your hands...?
