i seen a guy on here that created his design of his buggy in sketch up, how do you do this. i have watched most of the tutorial vids on sketchup and i still cant do it. my main problem is trying to make the tube steel, its just not happining for me. could any body here help me please

Draw a circle and pull it out to a tube; not sure how you'd bend it though.

I have used google sketchup for the design of my kart and one tip that may help is to go to the website http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ and type in what it is you are looking for and find something that looks like what you want and then you can fine tune it to your liking. a lot of items are already pre-made for example, tires, lights, engines, and usually simple frames. I included a pic of the kart i designed with the program most of the parts were just downloaded from the warehouse and then just re-sized to all fit together. it does take time and patience to get acquainted with all the functions.
