Forklift motor + 100 or so volts.

I think if you find a forklift motor designed for 100 + volts,
it will weigh more than the rest of his gokart.

LOL. Which is exactly why there are virtually no forklift motors doing over 48 or so. Some are even in the 12V range.

Gear high and run 100V, plenty of torque and speed.

just a quick update, i found batteries for 25 bucks a pop and got the mteel for the frame. just gotta design it, get a motor, and get to building.
