Not exactly idea and not the fastest thing In the world, but I ran across a Kawasaki KRH300A leaf blower today on the highway, just laying on the edge of the road, I slowed down. and pulled over and grabbed it. It runs, the plastic part was a little Messed up... never mind, A LOT messed up. Might of fallen off a truck, well their lose my win. I was thinking about sticking it on a mountain bike of mine. only problem... The flywheel part, were it pushes the air. is on the left side, my chain is on the right. How/Do I make this conversion. I'm just bored, and got a working engine. = Win. just something to fool around with. just IDK how to get the thing to run normally, with a chain, do I need a clutch? or what?

out put shaft. if you have a kart its the thing the clutch attaches to.

Hope you can see what you want, It wasn't like you'd think totalled it looked like it kinda slid off, the handle were the kill switch was, is chewed up but anyway have a look for yourself, I see no cracks, and when I ran it. It didn't vibrate or feel loose

Ooooohhhhhh. Its a 2 stroke. I thought u meant a big industrial 4 stroke blower. Ifthat fell on the highway i would assume it would leave a crater.
I have a husquavarna blower just like that. (of course its not running). I dont mess
With small 2 strokes anymore. They piss me off. Especially the little under 30cc musquitos.
The way i would connect that is a sprocket solidly on the flyheel somehow, to a jackshaft, then clutch, then rear sprocket. The bike would be a slug though.
If i was you id fix up the blower and use it or sell it. And get something like a pocket bike engine.

Also- remember that this engine was designed to turn a tiny plastic fan, not a person on a bike.
Lol no way it'd sell again, Already took it apart and broke the already brittle plastic. So what do with this engine? Lol its to heavy to fit even in a bigger RC plane. hahaha. I Guess I can just use it in placement for a furnace blower, Ive been waiting to build one. Metal melting, hahaha. Were is my anvil!

I mean, if you REALLY wanted to, you could, get it in a bike. But, youll be disappointed in performance. You could walk faster.
Like i said, best to use a pocket bike engine if youre going for a small 2 stroke. One is known as a CAG 49cc. They go for 40-60$ on ebay new. Just use your tank and exhaust. (i dont think it comes with a pipe)

you could just do a simple friction drive. It would be better then walking! Sure you might not fly but it would be a fun project. I say go for it! To clarify friction drive does not use chain or a clutch it just has a metal bar rubbing the wheel.
