I've been doing some research about building some sort of buggy for atv trails, and I've found it'll definitely cost me at least $1000 to do everything right, especially because I'd have to buy almost every tool needed for the project.

So is this a good deal for a go kart? It's a 2 seater which is what I want, its got full suspension (the two rear move together...), and it's all assembled and ready to go!

Should I try and haggle it down, and if so, how far?

Thanks!

You should always try to haggle down used stuff. Its pretty difficult to sell karts like that now a days. I'd pull out $500, smile and politely ask if he'd consider a lower cash offer. That one looks prety clean but I think its over priced.

So if I did get this, and eventually replace the engine, what would I look for?

It'd probably be either me (150 lbs) or me and a friend (at most, 330 lbs)

Should I look for a 125cc bike engine, or bigger?

Oh and I plan on running this in atv trails, they get really rough and have plenty of tough hill climbs, I'd probably gear it to go 30 or 40 max.

And would I also wanna buy some quad tires?
