Not sure if this has been done, but here's a thread to post good deals you've actually bought and like. Please don't post things you see that might be a good deal (because it might not be good quality, not work well, etc)

You could also post something you bought that isn't a good deal...meaning, you got it and don't think it's worth the money.

To make the thread simple to follow, please put what the product is and clearly state in bold "good" or "bad", give a link to the product, and then discuss after that

Example:

10ft of 420 chain GOOD
https://www.ebay.com/itm/420-Motorc...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Out of stock now, but nice chain at a good price

If we all can keep the thread this way, it should be a handy resource to find good deals!

Kill switch/throttle/grip set BAD
https://www.ebay.com/itm/361927235543

The grips, kill switch, and levers work fine, but the twist grip throttle are bad. It sticks and won't go back to neutral throttle by itself, so very hard to drive with. If you buy it for the other parts it's a good deal, but don't expect the throttle to work at all. I even was sent another and it did the same thing.

I might leave this thread up a while, but if it gets too long it will lose its usefulness (deals will be buried on page 10, etc)

This would be a good use of a new forum area like we were talking about just simply called "Deals!" and then each deal could have a post.

Both Joe-405 and I have tried this damper out. It doesn't regulate flow evenly in both directions. It makes it harder to turn in one direction than turning the other.

So while the price is good, the quality is BAD.
I ordered a second one in an attempt to use two to make the steering symmetrical.
Two of these with two clamps, is still cheaper than a quality one (costs over $100).

True, but as long as people just post good/bad deals with no conversations and "filler" posts, it would literally be a thread filled with links to good/bad deals. One could have a read through and save the ones they link (meaning a webpage bookmark, etc)

I also think that's a good idea, but then you run the issue of having SO many different threads. Might work better to have a deals forum area and have specific sites. Ebay, Amazon, Banggood, etc, and then people could put their links in those categories depending on where they came from.

Then maybe have a "assorted" section, and when "x" amount of deas to a site are posted, then make that a new thread topic.

Just some food for thought

good deal ? Search for generic industrial item not "go kart" items

Hey Guys: Sometimes go kart parts are just generic industrial parts. Instead of searching ""go kart" search for the part.

for example try: 10 1 inch shaft collars for $14.95
including shipping. This is just one example. Many more much cheaper.

Also try: Bike brake cable instead of go kart cable. You get each cable for as little as 50 cents.
