Between 4:15 & 5:30, I sold the first 2 karts for $600 to the same guy, and $500 for the third kart to another guy. Time to buy some more Saturday!

Thanks, FBM! I'm getting this one on Saturday. It's for a parent at school who "contracted me" to get them a kart for Christmas for their kid. I'm paying $300. The description says "yerf dog go-kart has 6.5 horse engine with live axle (posi. trac) front and rear suspention very strong motor,theres a problem with the carb or throtle it runs strong for 10 min.then it will die" I have a new Predator that I'll put on it and it should be a quick flip. Gotta keep the parents happy!

I had about $500 invested and netted about $600 profit. All that for having a fun hobby!

I told the parent that I would find something for them in the $550 range that included a new motor. I won't make a killing on this, but I hope the word spreads to other students parents and I'll be busy all summer, (a teachers favorite time of year!). I'll replace the motor & repair the original to use down the road.
I've been watching that kart on CL. Started at $500. Went down to $400. Kept watching it and waited about 2 weeks to make the call. After a short phone conversation, he went down to $300. The kart is about 45 minutes away from town and most people don't want to make the drive. That doesn't bother me! Plus, he only had his phone number in the ad. I think everyone likes to email and not make phone calls. JMO.
