Isnt 100cc like 10hp? thats better then most karts already, another good thing about dbike engines is that their not limited to 3600rpm ;)

100cc could be 10hp,could be 5. it really depends, My 125 2 stroke bike puts out a little over 24HP. I just know you will be much happier with atleast a 200, especially if your planning on going off road, or gearing it higher than a top speed of 30-35mph.

i will try to find the biggest engine, if it is water cooled, where would the best place to put a radiator be on the 2 seater? and could i use a few fans out of computers, and wire em to the stator(for a radiator)

sorry i am asking so many dumb questions, i just wanna do it right the first time :)

Computer fans wont cut it, get a decent car radiator fan or put the radiator in front of the cart, bikes generally use the wind pushing air through the radiator instead of a fan so that would work well. But if possible use a air cooled, much easier.

sounds good, now for the fuel problem, those engines are usually gravity fed, so, is it possible to hook up a regular riding mower diaphram pump?

I'm not sure about a riding mower fuel pump but a snowmobile one might work. But you would have to tap the crankcase, probable not worth it.

aparently they are **** but i am using something similar for the front wheels. they look ok, but i would suggest something slightly more heavey duty on the axle.

probably, there are some mods you can do, like welding them up and new tires/ bearings. you would have to remove the bearings to use them on the axle

Depends on junkyard.
My local guy will guarantee that what I want will work.
Doesn't say for how long. Usually, the more you pay, the better it is. It's a crap shoot to be sure.

Depends if you find a bike and get the engine yourself or if the guy there has already removed it. chances are you are going to want to freshen up the engine anyways.

By freshen up i meant new seals, rings, oil change if its a 4 stroke (of course), rebuild carb...That may be a bit overkill, but a rebuilt engine will not only put out more power but run smoother and last longer.

how hard is it to put rings on? ive never had to do it

easy, may be a 2 person job but its not hard at all. Its not required to rebuild, and if you only have $100 then i guess not rebuilding it is fine depending on condition. I've just heard bad stories about junkyard engines. My friend bought a big block for his truck from a junkyard, got it installed and 5 miles down the road it blew.
