Pics are on page 1,3,5 with info

Ok so ive had a mini bike for about 3 years now its a beast and such but tire kept poppin and stuff so i gave up on it and i decided to build a gokart with a shifter style body cuz i think it looks dead sexy so here are some pics atm
Frame below i dont got a tube bender hella exspensive so its chopsawed/angle grinded to fit and welded the engine is mounted on the right side halfway on the frame those my sexy welds
was using flux wire at start since i couldnt find the gauge for the gas for mig but then i started using mig(first time ever using this welder and first time welding in like 3 years) and the welds where really big then the gass somehow leaked idk must of been the fittings or somthing so i went back and used wire feed i like it beter idk why it just easier for me to weld with

I ripped the front end of a ride on lawnmower off for the steering parts since the ones i made didint look like they where going to be strong enough+the tires i had shaft wasnt big enough my dad said so i was aloud to tear it apart(engine on lawnmower was ****ed up but it still ran but really ****ty) so i tore that apart sold the 5hp brigs to some guy for 70bucks got the back tires as a spare and i got the front end

But the question is Will these bearings hold up under the high speed

i know from be4 on my first mini bike the dolly tires u get from canadian tire fall apart :S

Sorry tires a little dirty never used it to mow the lawn lol used it to hull a trailer full of stuff around the property where we building house and massive garage

I don't know if it's just the blurry pic, but those welds... I wouldn't be getting on it, especially at the speed most shifter karts go.

Project looks like it's coming along well. More pics!

Are the bearings smooth? Or do they feel like they have grit in them? They might be alright, but they're designed to work at less than 20mph.

Looks like you need a little more heat and a little less wire speed. I'd recommend taking some scraps and practice some more before you do any more welds that "count", ;)
I think I'd grind those down and re-weld them after you've had more practice, and/or add some gussets to the joints that would cause you the longest hospitalization if they broke.

the mig/wire feed welder i got is a lincon nascar series one and it has a chart of the gauges thickness and studd on the door that lifts up on it and it gives me the lowest speed setting for what the chart tells me but ill crank the heat up a bit next time im welding

and yes i will be adding gussets as u call them to the corners for extra strength Barewith me on the frame its like only 50% done atm

New pics this week soon front end almost fabricated but not put together

Doesn't look like a bad deal, I'd definitely want more details though. If you were to buy all the parts to build what sitting there, used, you'd spend more than that. On the other hand, if everything is worn out (or wrong, I.E. bearings, tires, chain, sprockets, clutch, gear ratio, etc.) and has to be replaced or swapped out, it would get to be not so great a deal after all. I' wanna know the condition of the clutch, gear ratio, tire and wheel condition (and tire age), and a few other details. ;)

You need way more heat.....

Your just laying wire and barely burning it in. Dont be scared to put some heat on it

Or you could just TIG it up.....I love TIG welding

Looks like you're also weaving the arc side to side, Slow and steady, more heat. It should be glowing red hot when you pull your mask up.

I'd suggest going in circles rather than back and forth, it will help concentrate the heat where you want it. Might wanna think about a smaller wire size too, what are you using now? And what kind of welder?
