The REAL Poboy
Not sure if this belongs here or in Off-Topic, but just watched the movie. Ya know, to really enjoy any Hollywood movie, being totally ignorant of the subject matter helps.
It wasn't too bad, but what do I know? Anderkart could probably pick it to death all day long. I've never even seen a race kart in real life, but they seemed to do pretty well, except for a water filled pothole on the asphalt track. Without firsthand knowledge, ummmm....that just ain't happening IMHO.
Then ,naturally, as expected, reality is totally thrown out the window for the grand climax. Another racer is "chariot bumping" the hero who, btw, reminds me of another fault in the movie: ( much like Top Gun....they never really developed the character to where you gave a snot about them....I didn't care if Tom Cruise crashed and burned....now Richard Gere....but I digress) soooo....he's bumping our hero and it causes his engine to die. He hits THE STARTER and restarts the engine just in time to finish the race.
Sooooo wrong on so many levels, I'm not even going there......
