Hiya,

Im making a go kart which will hopefully end up looking like the photo below (the classic car) however, it currently looks like this (the other photo).

I do not currently own the go kart however I'm hoping to buy it soon, my question is how easy would It be to move the seat over to the middle and move the engine to behind the seat.

I have no knowledge of go karts however I have all the tools at my disposal and help from experienced welders etc on hand.

Thanks in advance!

well for beginners nearly impossible, for a experienced kart building enthusiast and experienced welder.. piece of cake.

Sorry, but making a cyclekart (that's what those things on the left pic are called) from a racing chassis (the right image although that's surely the wrong type of wheels)
is not the brightest idea tbh.

I'd say find a rear engine kart (an odler style yard kart / fun kart) and use that as a donor vehicle..
being a rear engine center seat kart with a much simpler chassis (mostly) it'd be a much MUCH easier starting point.

:iagree: Unless you know your way around a welder I wouldn't bother even trying. Like sid said it will be of a pain to try and convert a racing kart instead of just either starting from scratch or finding a better donor kart
