what does the recoil shroud look like?

its the colored engine cover. in this case blue.

okay i cut out the new gasket installed it and nothin still the samething is there a glue or something like that i should use because when i went to take the old gasket off it was stuck like it had been glued on and when i was tracing out the new gasket and i noticed that the old one had like a glue resion on it

Gasket sealant may help, but isn't necessarily required. Since you're making a new one, you probably should. Make sure you clean the gasket surfaces very well, and do not use any metal object to clean those surfaces or you'll risk gouging the aluminum.
