Make sure all gaskets are intact, you could try double gasketing I see people do it alot. It's basically not getting enough fuel or to much air

DO NOT USE GASKET SEALER ON A CARB!!!!!!!!!!
so this ran fine before you cleaned the carb?

take the bowl off check that your new gasket is not touching the float.
then check your neddle valve make sure thats seated correctly.

then make sure you did not bend the float arm. that can be simply fixed by bending it back.

try tose things first then get back too us.

another thing could be it maybe just be way out of adjustment and running too lean.

theres not any crap pluging the fuel tank or line? doesn't sound like it was very well take care of. check that.

then check your low idel screw that is not screwed all the way in.

and most of the new gasket meterail they use is crap no a days. and theres nothing you can realy do about that.

sorry about jumping ship on you yesturday my computer crashed on me.

is there a high idle screw on that carb? they have to be adjusted correctly together or it will give you problems.

honestly im sort of bafled i cann't think what else could be the issue. unless maybe some crap is still in the carb.

thats just your breather tube, nothing to worry about, this is going to sound stupid, but do you have your bowl facing the right way? the deep end goes where the float hangs down, if you dont have it on the right way it keeps the float up constantly, stopping gas flow and you get nothing, also those gaskets look thin as hell, id suggest going to your mower shop and getting all the gaskets, another problem could be your fuel line, i had mine run like that and it didnt pickup gas for ****, you have to remember this gas tanks works off of gravity, not like a fuel pump, drain gas from the tank, take your fuel line and push it under the bolt on the flywheel shroud, down through the hole made for it on the black peice your carb pushes against, and make sure its not restricted, this is gravity, it dosent suck it out of the tank, it just comes down the line into the carb

What did you claen the carb with. I you just sprayed it with cleaner, you probaly did not get it good and clean. Advance auto has a gallon can of carb and parts soak, this stuff cleans carb the best, just let it soak for awhile and blow all the ports out. They also have the thick gasket material that you need if you want to make your own. Northern too sells the same gasket for about a $1.50. When you set the float turn the carb upside down, and with the float and needle installed, the float should be almost level with the base of the carb, about 1/16 up on the side away from the needle. This is a good starting point. The mixture screws should be turned 1 1/2 turns out from the bottom, to 2 turns, this will be your starting point for them. The gasket between the manifold and the carb has to be sealed, DRY ONLY, no sealer, or you will have the same running problems.

i have a feeling its not the carb, and its not anything to do with the gaskets, his problem is his gas line, you need to run it under the blower housing and through the carb insulator, it cant be restricted, and it cant be ran line that, gravity fed, not sucked from the tank, there isint a fuel pump, where the fuel tank sits, it goes through the hole for the blower housing through the black carb insulator and onto the carb, makes a huge diffrence,

i read a post i think it was on the other tread i started but someone said crank the engine and spray carb cleaner around the gaskets and see what happens well i did that and it ran longer than usual so im guessing i need to recut out another gasket so ill let everyone know how that goes
